Summer at Sullivan Events

Summer at Sullivan 2019 kicked off with an all-hands welcome reception where partners, associates and staff all convened in our conference center space for a catered (and of course, bartended) evening to chat with our summer associates in this casual meet and greet. This was the first of many formal and informal events designed to encourage our summer associates to get to know their colleagues and become familiar with the firm’s many practice areas.

The festivities continued over the following weeks with a cooking challenge, a lawyer-league softball game against a local law firm (and you thought the MLB was competitive) and a firm-wide Sullivan Diversity & Inclusion Committee-sponsored viewing of the US Women’s National Team game in the Women’s World Cup. Sullivan likes to exercise both your mind and your core, so we joined the summers in the 2019 Corporate Challenge 5K run through Boston, followed by an "aftah-party" at a local favorite.

The summer associates enjoyed a dinner at the firm’s Managing Partner’s house with the Hiring Partner and others, and with only a few weeks left in the summer program, Sullivan hosted an in-house trivia night that had our attorneys and staff thinking, laughing and of course, eating and drinking.

The gluttony continued the following week at a private box at Fenway Park where the summers joined attorneys and their families as the Red Sox defeated the Blue Jays. While the Fenway ice cream truck never delivered, the Red Sox organization certainly did when it brought us the recent World Series trophy for some individual and group pictures.

The summer merriment had to end, but it did not go out without a bang. Sullivan’s end of summer blowout took place at a local micro-brewery where the entire firm came to say farewell to the summer associates and wished them luck on their final year of law school.
